The combined caravan tracker and alarm used in Lockdown works seamlessly to offer a degree of protection hitherto unavailable for caravans. Designed as a bespoke solution to caravan security, this system incorporates novel features which prevent unauthorised entry, or theft.

Whether in storage or in constant use, Lockdown is on hand to provide security and peace of mind. The security system provides a geo-fence to protect the caravan - this will send an alert if the van is moved outside the set perimeter.

There are two ‘intelligent’ self-levelling tilt sensors which can detect any movement along or across the vehicle. The habitation door will have a wireless door contact which can also be fitted to other doors/lockers. It even monitors the caravan battery and alerts when tampered with, and has its own back-up battery built-in.

Once inside, you are protected further by the wireless PIR detector, which incorporates a lock-out feature to prevent continuous false alarms. A night/pet setting can also be set to allow you to sleep and/or leave a pet inside the caravan with the alarm system armed.

Our attention to detail is revealed when arming the system. Using either of the two supplied rolling-coded key fobs, the caravan side lights flash twice for ON and three for OFF - there is no audible sound. You can also remotely arm or disarm the alarm, or locate your caravan; this can be simply done by telephoning the monitoring centre or using our android mobile phone app.

Lockdown allows numerous unique options/additions to be made to personalise your unit to your own needs – be it wireless multiple locker and windows contacts, panic button, wireless movement detectors, even a 24-hour security loop is also available perfect for protecting bikes etc.

A must have optional feature, the addition of a panic button. Another useful optional extra is the 24hr monitored security loop suitable to protect cycles, mobility scooters or trailers whilst parked even without the main caravan alarm armed. Alternately, pitched on site it can also be used to protect the satellite dish, portable generator.

If the thief manages to gain access, the team at the UK Monitoring Centre will contact you and then follow strict procedures to recover the vehicle if it is moved. The roaming sim card provides excellent tracking coverage throughout Europe and the UK.

The caravan alarm is monitored 24-hours a day throughout the year, and is tracked, providing precise location immediately the security system is triggered. Information on which sensor has been activated is also given.

Lockdown comes with a 2 year warranty and can be supplied and fitted from £688.00 anywhere in the U.K.

Your caravan alarm is monitored and tracked 24-hours, 365 days a year, throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. Monitoring is charged at £99.00 per year, or discounted to £259.00 for a three years or £399.00 for a five year package.

Once the alarm is in the armed state an encrypted signal is sent to the on-board security system, this alerts the unit to ignore the alarm remote control, keeping the caravan alarm armed. Even with the original remote control, the alarm cannot be de-activated.

For further peace of mind, this is a must have optional feature. In reality a useful help function where the monitoring centre can action local emergency services, advise nearest police station and/or telephone number, authority or embassy details, even contact owners recovery contractor or insurance company.

, locate and receive alarm alerts using our mobile phone app. Also if you’re unsure if you have correctly armed your caravan alarm while out exploring - of course the mobile phone app can do that too!

There are two ‘intelligent’ self-levelling tilt sensors built into the unit, they will detect any movement along or across the vehicle. These being digital, allow for the caravan to be to placed/parked on a hill without causing the alarm to be falsely triggered.

A highly encrypted manual waterproof override dongle and dongle park are supplied with every system. These are used as fail-safe should all else fail and will disengage the security system – they should not be kept with the caravan keys!

This useful optional extra is suitable to protect cycles, mobility scooters or trailers even without the main motorhome alarm being armed. Alternately, it can also be used to protect the satellite dish or a portable generator.

Specifically designed for the leisure market these small contacts are ideal for protecting all your habitation lockers and doors. The caravan alarm system can provide cover for over 50 wireless products, being wireless means a far less intrusive installation with no wires visible.

With an easy to install purpose made bracket, these wireless contacts are the perfect solution for protecting those vulnerable windows and vents. As with all our contacts, detectors and remote controls the batteries are replaceable.

Our wireless detector is perfect for detecting unauthorised movement within the caravan. It also incorporates a lock-out feature, preventing continuous false alarms. The PIR detector is isolated when using either the night or pet setting.

There are no annoying loud beeps or chirps when arming and disarming the alarm, the system silently advising its status by flashing the side lights and internal status LED.

The night/pet setting allows you to sleep inside the caravan or leave a pet inside with the system still armed. Nothing is more annoying than hearing loud beeps or chirps when arming and disarming the night-setting, so as not to disturb your neighbours ours is silent.

All our systems come with one siren as standard, this is normally fitted outside the vehicle. Should you wish to get a more aggressive sound from your caravan alarm, then our waterproof sirens are not known to be quiet! You can add as many additional sirens as you wish, however we would only recommend one extra internal sounder if any.

Attention to detail is revealed when using the two supplied remote control fobs; these use a random encrypted rolling-code to prevent grabbing devices being effective. Further remote controls can be added to your alarm, either at installation or later.

A built-in safety feature is fitted; preventing accidental arming of the caravan alarm whilst towing with your car.

Our unique self-diagnostic repair technology regularly checks itself (so you don't have to) for any faults or anomaly, Should it find anything, it will use its built-in software to rectify any situation, reporting this to the monitoring centre. It can even power itself down and perform a total reset back to that set on installation

The fact that a vast majority of caravans are left unattended for long periods, means power consumption and battery drain is of the utmost priority. Lockdown
is a combination ‘two in one’ alarm and tracker system, it never sleeps and consumes a minuscule four milliamp to power.

The whole system is protected by an internal battery-backup; this is only used when the caravan battery drops below 5 volts, or is disconnected.

Software constantly monitors the battery condition, any unauthorised tampering or disconnection and an alert will be sent to the monitoring centre or your android mobile phone app.

Two adhesive window warning stickers are supplied as standard, if more are required they will supplied free of charge upon request.

Should you wish to sell or change your caravan, the whole system is transferable from customer to customer or from one vehicle to another. Monitoring can also be transferred from vehicle to vehicle, system to system or even frozen whilst vehicles are exchanged.

All our Lockdown
products are covered by a two year "we come to you" parts and labour warranty. The main control unit has a lifetime parts warranty included for free, if after this period the system is still being covered by an 'airtime' monitoring package.
As the world's largest supplier of Gemini alarm and tracking systems, Outsmart the Thief Ltd carries a large component stock and can dispatch all our parts normally the same day.

1. Fit a quality caravan security system that can be linked to a monitored caravan tracker as well; this way every time your alarm is activated an alert is sent to the monitoring centre who will then contact you.

2. Physical security devices make the caravan less attractive to a thief; it also shows that you are also taking security seriously. We believe the best caravan wheel locking device has to be the JSB HUBLOCK! Why do we believe this, because of its theft resistance and in particular, oxyacetylene cutting equipment?

3. Always lock and arm your alarm when caravan is left unattended, even if you’re just popping out for a minute. Caravan thieves usually choose the quickest and easiest option; physical security also slows them down when attempting a break-in or theft.

4. If you have a car then block the caravan in with it, not only does this obstruct access underneath the vehicle, it will slow the thieves down as much as possible so that your other caravan security measures have time to effectively respond.

5. Lighting is vital in reducing caravan theft at night, though the opportunist thieves are getting bold enough to strike in busy areas, even in broad daylight. The more organised thieves won’t be so brazen, they are more professional and more risk averse, so good security lighting makes your caravan more visible.

6. Effective security fencing around your caravan will not only deter the occasional and opportunistic thieves, it will also slow down the more organized thieves.

7. Never mention on social media anything about your travel arrangements with or without your caravan, criminals now monitor and exploit your information for their gain.

8. Window etching and security tags will not stop your caravan being stolen, however it will help the police to identify your caravan when found and could help to convict the thieves.

9. Hide all valuables out of sight whilst you are temporarily away from your van; remove them completely if you’re leaving it unattended for longer periods.

10. Do monitor social media and the local news about vehicle crime, that way you are aware when thieves are operating within your area. If you hear of any vehicle related crime, let your friends and neighbours know so they can also be more vigilant.
