The Cat Defender™ has been launched by Outsmart the Thief to curb the ever increasing incidence of Catalytic Converter thefts. Unlike existing anti-theft devices, the Cat Defender™ uses modern technology to provide added protection.
The Cat Defender™ has two Smart Technology Detection Sensors (STDS) which are fitted to the vehicle's exhaust system. The sensors are harmonically tuned to detect any attempt to cut, burn or un-bolt the catalytic converter even any interference with the sensors or wiring.
Any attempt to remove will result in an immediate alarm condition and when connected to the Motorhome Defender™, the monitoring station is also alerted making the Cat Defender™ a powerful deterrent to any attempted theft. Designed as a totally universal product the catalytic converter protector will fit any vehicle with any size of catalytic converter. The system only takes a short time to install.
There are currently two systems available:
Cat Defender™ 1 - Is a stand-alone system which automatically arms when the ignition is turned off, any activation will be met with the vehicle horn sounding and the indicator lights flashing.
Cat Defender™ 2 - Integrates to any existing alarm system or tracking device with activation sounding the alarm. When connected to the Motorhome Defender™ an alert is sent to the monitoring station closely followed by an immediate alert to the owner and police. This makes the Cat Defender™ 2 the most effective deterrent currently available. (Awaiting Thatcham Approval)
